Jean comes from Manchester and Stephen from Sherborne, in North Dorset. They met and were married in Manchester and set up home in Farnworth, near Bolton where Stephen taught in a local grammar School and Jean worked in the accounts department of a clothing firm.
They were actively involved in Parkside Chapel but in 1973 joined Counties Evangelistic Work and moved to Dorset becoming the Dorset Counties Evangelists. Throughout the last 40 years the main emphasis of their ministry has been with children and young people, and they have been involved in Tent Crusades, Village Missions, Camps and House-Parties, Schools work, Church Missions and Holiday Bible Clubs, Bible Exhibitions and a number of other projects including the formation of the Dorset Postal Bible School.
Stephen has been involved with Postal Bible School  for many years and has led the editorial team responsible for producing Bibletime resources which are now used widely around the world.  In semi-retirement now, they are still involved in preaching each week-end, schools ministry in local schools, the Dorset Postal Bible School and Bible Educational Services.
Stephen and Jean have led a number of parties overseas especially to Israel and Jordan  and  in Autumn 2016 led a party of 35 on a Holy Land Tour . (www.christian-travel.com)
